The party was a lot of fun! The girls had a great time and it really wasn't all that bad.

As for the Root Beer, my husband makes it all the time with his Chemistry students. He said if you go to the grocery store and buy root beer extract, there are directions on how to do it right there on the box. It's simple and a lot of fun. We just bought the ice cream but if you're feeling brave, you can make that homemade as well :)

First. I love that you actually have a picture of the face propped on a box of crackers in the shopping cart. You are a true blue blogger, Terrell.

Second. I have spoken up when I have seen someone acting what I considered to be "over-the-top" with punishing their children. But, it was BEFORE I had children and realized that what I "see" in that snippet of time may not be the FULL picture of what is going on and has led the parent to respond in the way they have. That being said, sometimes OUR reactions to our children ARE much more than they should be. If only we could find the patience and understand our children's needs better, perhaps spanking wouldn't be necessary.

Third. That last part .. that sentence right there above ... although it sounds good enough, isn't always very easy to achieve. And every so often, I think a spanking is the best discipline solution in the world.

Well... It's hard to raise 4 kids, very hard... But, i don't no... Maybe is because i love them so much, but no offence, if i love children more than anything in the world and i show them all my love, i don't think they will never ever do something to upsead or to hurt me or to make ME to hurt them in one way or another... Sorry...! The same roull is applicable in relations between 2 adults, like marriage... If i hit my wife or my girlfriend, that means that i don't love her at all!. In love is no place for punishments! Sorry...

My children get spanked when they act up. They know how they are supposed to act and they know what happens to them if they don't act the way they should. I have seen those kids, the kids who's parents don't believe in discipline because it might "harm" the child. I'm not saying I beat my children, but I do give them a swat if they deserve it. At the same time, because of it, my kids don't need spankings all that much. You're right, that construction working needed a nice swift kick in the....!!
